This usually takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour
(£60 or free to customers purchasing a bike from GreenWheel Cycles)

We start by having a relaxed chat about what you want to achieve from the bike fitting peterborough session, how you want to improve your position and what aches and pains you might have. Using your bike and our bikefitting.com measuring equipment we will look at your position, riding style and fine tune your bike so that you are in the most power efficient position.

We will then record the following:
Inseam | Torso | Arm length

These measurements will then determine the following:
Correct frame size | Saddle height | Saddle fore/aft | Stem length

We will use the above data to achieve a perfect bike fittiong and we will then use our knowledge and adapt these measurements to your riding style and cycling discipline. Not only will we look at your position, we will also discuss ways in which you can improve your performance by making small changes in your riding style and training methods.

This service is aimed at people who are new to cycling or want to obtain the correct position and make the maximum gains in their cycling.

Bike Fit Level 2 | 01733 305133

This usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours and costs £150

We are now taking the bike fitting peterborough up a level; not only do we want to perfect your position but we want you to hit your targets and move onto the next level in your cycling, whether your discipline is road, time trialing or triathlon.

We start with the interview process to establish what you want to acheive from the bike fit and what targets you have in the coming months in your chosen cycling discipline. We will carry out a full bike fit using your own bike, our bikefitting.com fitting equipment and our motion capture technology.

We will then record the following:
Height | Foot size | Inseam | Torso | Riding style (video analysis) | Arm length | Shoulder width | Flexibility test

These measurements will determine the following:
Correct frame size selected | Cleat position | Saddle fore/aft set | Stem length | Arm length | Crank length

We will use the above data and our knowledge to achieve the perfect bike fit. During the bike fit we capture your riding style and you can visualize all the changes we make and we can also look at what adaptations to your riding style can be made to increase power output. We will then be able to see whether any changes need to be made in your equipment to make you more comfortable on the bike.

Once we have completed the bike fitting peterborough, we will look at your lifestyle and training methods and see where we can improve and optimise to enable you to reach new levels. All the way through the session we make sure you are fully aware of what we are doing and why certain changes are being made.

This service is aimed at people who want to take their cycling to the next level or for people who have reached a plateau in their training and want to perfect their position and seek advice on how to move on.

The Ultimate Bike Fit Level 3 | 01733 305133

This usually takes between 3 and 4 hours and costs £300

This is the ultimate where we will spend time with you to obtain the perfect position and also spend some time on the road having a one to one chat about your positioning and riding style so that we can come back to the fitting centre fully aware of what we need to do to improve your riding style and position.

We will start by having a consultation over coffee at GreenWheel Cycles making sure we are aware of what problems you are experiencing and finding a little more background information about you. The next stage is a 1 – 1.5 hour bike road ride so we can assess you and watch you ride to see any faults you may have picked up and assess your riding style. Then it’s time for shower and lunch at GreenWheel Cycles.

After lunch we will begin the bike fitting peterborough session using all the Bikefitting.com measuring equipment and perform a full physio assessment to make certain your new position is the perfect match between bike and rider and suits your cycling discipline perfectly.

We will record the following:
Height | Foot size | Inseam | Torso | Riding style (video analysis) | Arm length | Full physio assessment including flexibility, muscle length testing, foot and ankle assessment | Your cycling aims and targets

The above will determine the following:

Once we have completed the bike fit, we will look at your training methods and how your lifestyle may affect your training and goals. We will spend time assessing and developing your training methods and advise and devise a training plan to suit your lifestyle and help hit your targets and also hit new levels in your cycling, whether it be road, tri or triathlon. Also included is a 2nd re-evaluation session to discuss improvements and to make any further adjustments if need be.

The ultimate bike fit is aimed at those who want a very personal service, are passionate about their cycling, seek to improve their position and receive precise and accurate information in order to develop every area of cycling.

By using our unique motion capture technology, we want you to see for yourself what we are trying to achieve and the difference a session with one of our specialists can make. All you need for a bike fit session is yourself, your bike and riding kit. We have changing and shower facilities on site. Training data and diaries will be needed for the Ultimate service.

The phrase road bikes also can describe any type of bike used primarily on paved roads in contrast to bikes primarily intended for off-road use, such as mountain bikes. Other types of road bikes peterborough include; touring bikes, hybrid bikes, and utility bikes.

Touring bikes are designed for bike touring: they are robust, comfortable and capable of carrying heavy loads. Hybrid bikes are designed for a variety of recreational and utility purposes. While primarily intended for use on pavement, they may also be used on relatively smooth unpaved paths or trails. Utility bicycles are designed for utility cycling; are a traditional bicycle for commuting, shopping and running errands in towns and cities.

Which are the best road bikes peterborough? It’s a common question – after all everyone buying a bike wants the best one possible – but the question is one that is impossible to answer! The answer depends on what you are looking for i.e. what you mean by best. First you need to consider which of the following is important to you; speed (over comfort), comfort (over long distances), a great looking bike, cheap or at least great value, easy to upgrade in the future i.e. a frame that is good enough to merit much more expensive wheels in due course.

That carbon fibre model that looks so great and feels so light might be very tiring over long distances and hard work to keep it motoring along if it is very rigid – but great for whizzing your way up the nearest steep hill … likewise rigid wheels and a bumpy route can make your life pretty tough.

To confuse matters further people will disagree about which components you should have on the bike – are SRAM components better than Shimano? Are you better off paying more for the frame and less on, say, the gears? The permutations are endless. Anyway you see the problem – there is no best bike! In truth a bike from any of the reputable manufacturers will be fine. None are going to have serious flaws, and the slight difference in weight is not crucial at this stage. I would not recommend buying an ‘unbranded’ bike since these will often have components such as gears, brakes etc that are not made to last, might well weigh a lot more, and could put you off cycling forever.

Gear choices

One other choice that you will be confronted by is how many gears you want. Many new and more expensive road bikes peterborough have two rings at the front, and purists would ride nothing else. Many people are happier with three. Ironically it will often be the cheaper road bikes that have three front rings. When you have been cycling a while you might find that you never use the smallest front ring, but if you plan to cycle many hills you might prefer the option. Going up a hill at the end of a long ride you might prefer to use the so-called granny-gear (the easiest gear on the bike).
